Zoe’s life took an unexpected turn at 18 when she found herself facing a reality she hadn’t imagined: she was pregnant.

She knew she had to make a decision, and quickly.
Without much thought, Zoe immediately began searching online for a nearby abortion facility.

Accompanied by the father of the baby, sitting in the waiting room, Zoe’s mind raced with conflicting emotions.
She stole glances at the baby’s father, unsure of what his presence meant.
When their names were called, they entered a cozy room where their client advocate greeted them warmly.
The air was tense, charged with their unspoken feelings and the weight of their circumstance.
Within the first few minutes, Zoe’s anxiety broke through in a blunt question:
“Is there any way to get rid of a 20-week-old baby?”
Her client advocate’s kind eyes met hers, understanding the turmoil she was experiencing.
They discussed Zoe’s options openly, without judgment or haste, providing her with information about each choice.
The father of the baby, his eyes reflecting a mix of concern and determination, expressed his preference for exploring parenthood together.
He believed that they could navigate this journey as a couple, learning and growing along the way.
But Zoe’s fear was fueled by the thought of disappointing her parents and tarnishing their expectations of her.
She had already decided to conceal her pregnancy from them, further isolating herself.
Their client advocate offered guidance and compassion as she listened to both Zoe and the baby’s father.
Through their conversations, a new option as another alternative to abortion emerged: adoption.
The idea tugged at their hearts, offering a way for their baby to have a chance at a life they might not be able to provide at this point.
Zoe’s fear of disappointing her parents gradually transformed into a decision against pursuing an abortion and a determination to make the best choiceshe couldfor her child’s future.
With the compassionate guidance of their client advocate, Zoe and the father reached an agreement.
With abortion off the table, and while they considered parenting, they ultimately chose the adoption option, knowing it was a decision made out of love for their baby.
They knew it wouldn’t be an easy journey, but through the support of the center, they felt a sense of peace knowing they were giving their child a chance to thrive in a loving home.
