He is our steady foundation when everything else seems to be falling apart.
Although a young woman in her early twenties, Stephanie had already weathered some difficult storms in life that left her close to homelessness and far past “hopelessness.”
When she discovered she was pregnant, she believed there was no way she could have and raise a baby.
She declined to seek out prenatal care because she believed abortion was her “only option.”
But God has a way of taking us to unexpected places – and that’s exactly what happened when Stephanie began to seek out an abortion facility that would terminate her pregnancy in the third trimester.
Instead of an abortion facility, her internet search yielded a Heroic Media OAASYS Emergency Response ad, connecting her to OAASYS’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Tulsa, Oklahoma!
Although Stephanie was feeling distraught, overwhelmed, and determined to have an abortion, the center’s hotline staff member was able to help her make an appointment to come in to the center to have an ultrasound.
During the ultrasound, there was no doubt in Stephanie’s mind that this baby was fully formed and fully human.
Suddenly, the decision to have an abortion “wasn’t so easy.”
However, she was still unsure how she could care for a little life, considering her circumstances.
Thankfully, her client advocate was able to discuss all options with her – and after changing her mind and making the firm decision to choose life for her baby, she is now pursuing making an adoption plan.
Thanks to the critical role you played through your support of that OASSYS ad which connected her to this life-affirming help, Stephanie’s life is on a new trajectory.
The amazing team at the pregnancy center was also able to connect her with care for her pregnancy and beyond.
She is receiving free prenatal care through an Oklahoma healthcare coverage program called SoonerCare; she is moving into a healthier place; and she is planning to attend Embrace Grace classes which provide an ongoing, faith-based support system for unmarried pregnant women.
From feeling discouraged, hopeless, and alone, this young woman now has a solid plan and support system to help establish a strong foundation for her life moving forward!
She now has physical and spiritual support.
Not only did Stephanie choose life for her preborn child, but she is also choosing new life for herself, and helping create a new family through the gift of adoption.
