“Pandemic” has become such a prominent part of our vernacular as we live life in the age of COVID-19

While “pandemic” is typically used in reference to diseases, its root meaning refers to something that is “prevalent,” “widespread,” or “pervasive.”

Yes, COVID-19 is a pandemic.

But, a much greater pandemic is God’s unfailing, unceasing blessing over His children which He bestows in prodigious measure!

Lisa panicked when she found out that, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, her local abortion facility was temporarily suspending abortion services.

“Surely there must be someplace I can go…!”

Lisa searched the internet, triggering Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad to appear at the top of her search results.

When she called the phone number displayed on her screen, Lisa was instantly connected with our Pregnancy Help Center partner in San Antonio, Texas, which, thankfully, had chosen to remain open in spite of the coronavirus crisis.

Even when she realized the center was not an abortion facility, nonetheless, deep relief flooded Lisa when the center staff assured her that she was not alone and that they would be able to help her in her desperate situation.

Lisa made an appointment to be seen.

She revealed to her client advocate that her boyfriend was adamant that she abort their baby.

Further, she had a blood disorder which made her concerned about potential complications during her pregnancy, although this was something that could be resolved with a Rogan shot before delivery.

Most significantly, Lisa shared that she had had a prior abortion – which continued to haunt her.

Lisa’s client advocate lovingly helped her process through the myriad of emotions she was experiencing and helped her see that not only would there be healing for her from her past abortion, but that having another abortion would NOT be her only option.

Encountering this tangible compassion and support, Lisa decided she would continue with her pregnancy, even as she headed to the ultrasound room.

And then, the ultrasound!

Completely cementing her decision, the ultrasound revealed that Lisa was pregnant with TRIPLETS!!

Lisa not only realized that God was redeeming her past, but also, that this unexpected pregnancy with multiples was His “pandemic blessing!”

Had Lisa not connected with our pregnancy help center partner, and not found the lifeaffirming help she needed, four lives might have been lost to abortion – her three preborn babies’ lives, and her own life as she would have been consigned to the shackles of guilt – not only from her prior abortion, but the repeat abortion.
