In God’s economy, there is nothing that is so “beyond the pale” that He cannot redeem.
The Creator of life is the One who saves and changes lives, and He delights to show His children mercy.
He is the God of second chances.
Mariah’s unexpected pregnancy led her to a life-changing encounter with God’s mercy.
Like so many women in her situation, her boyfriend responded with indifference when he found out she was pregnant.
Instead of accepting responsibility, he simply said, “You have to get rid of it.”
Feeling desperate and devastated, Mariah went to a local abortion facility and started the medical abortion procedure.
As soon as she’d ingested the first course of the abortion pills, Mariah regretted her action.
Strong maternal instincts stirred within her and she knew she could not kill her baby.
Praying it would not be too late, Mariah successfully found a doctor who was able to provide her with medication to reverse the effects of the abortion pill and hopefully save her pregnancy!
However, when her boyfriend found out, he was beyond furious, and demanded that Mariah follow through with the abortion.
His threats overwhelmed the tenuous grip Mariah had on hope.
Persuaded by him, she was soon inside the doors of Planned Parenthood to attempt a second abortion.
It was there where God’s mercy met her in a stunning way.
His Spirit prompted Mariah to Google on her smartphone for “pregnancy help” – and she instantly found Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad!
Calling the number on the ad, she was connected to Heroic Media’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Los Angeles.
The hotline counselor convinced Mariah to leave Planned Parenthood, and assured her that she would find help and hope at the pregnancy center.
The compassion and assurance Mariah received on that phone call gave her the strength and conviction she needed to defy her boyfriend, and, instead, go to our pregnancy help center partner for assistance.
Once there, Mariah’s client advocate became the channel through whom she tangibly experienced God’s love.
Mariah realized that God had given her a second chance by allowing a successful abortion pill reversal: the ultrasound she received at the pregnancy center showed a living baby with a strong heartbeat!
Mariah knew what she had to do.
She chose life, knowing that she would do whatever it took to protect her baby – empowered and bolstered by the knowledge that the pregnancy center would help her find the medical and material help she needed to continue with her pregnancy.
