Callie was 20 years old and in her second year of college when she found out she was pregnant.

She had a long-term boyfriend whom she planned on marrying – but was by no means “ready to have children”.

When she thought she might be pregnant, she took the Plan B pill – twice.

Despite her desperate measures, weeks later she discovered she was, indeed, pregnant.

Callie felt scared and confused.

She was still in school, and didn’t have a job.

She didn’t know how she was possibly going to support a child…

Her friends and boyfriend all insisted that abortion was the “obvious choice”.

She began searching online for an abortion facility – but thanks to your support of Heroic Media’s OAASYS (On-demand Alternatives to Abortion SYStem) Emergency Response ads, she was connected with OAASYS’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in San Antonio, Texas instead.

She promptly called the number displayed and made an appointment for an ultrasound.

She was nervous about the appointment, but knew it was important to get information about the pregnancy in order to pursue the abortion.

After all…abortion was no longer legal in Texas…

She knew she would need to make plans to travel out of state to get one.

When Callie and her boyfriend arrived at the pregnancy center, they were greeted by a friendly client advocate.

The client advocate explained that the center offered a variety of services, including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, counseling, and material resources for pregnant moms.

Within the hour, Callie had her ultrasound and was able to see her baby for the first time.

She was amazed at how small and perfect the baby was, and started to cry.

She realized in that moment that she…loved…her baby…already

Even her boyfriend shed a tear while he watched the baby move her arms and legs.

Within moments, Callie decided against abortion and to keep her baby!

Callie and her boyfriend are now parenting and raising their baby daughter together.

Callie is working full-time and going to school part-time.

She shared with the pregnancy center staff that it is “not easy” – but she is so happy that she decided to keep her baby!

Brimming with love for her daughter, she is confident in the knowledge that she made the right decision.

Praise God!

And thank you for your critical, first-line-of-defense support which facilitated Callie’s connection to the pregnancy center and experience of seeing the miracle of her preborn daughter’s life before her eyes on the ultrasound screen!
