The conversion of St. Paul on the road to Damascus – when he was “Saul,” who ruthlessly persecuted Christians, to then becoming the apostle whom God used so powerfully to bring the Gospel to countless souls – is testament to the fact that God can change enemies of His Cross into committed believers whom He uses in mighty ways!

Dr. Anthony Levatino is one of the strongest pro-life voices of our time.

However, those familiar with his astounding testimony will know that he was a former abortionist who had performed over 1200 abortions in his career.

His stunning conversion came by way of a tragedy.

In 1984, his adopted daughter was struck and killed by a car two months before her sixth birthday.

Following this tragedy, Dr. Levatino had difficulty performing abortions.

After each subsequent abortion he committed, he shares: “All I could see was somebody’s son or daughter.”

Dr. Levatino’s Damascus Road experience changed him from an abortionist to an advocate for life!

Since then, he has helped women understand the truth about abortion and has produced educational videos used in pregnancy centers to help their clients choose life for their preborn sons and daughters.

Monica is one such person impacted by Dr. Levatino.

When she found out she was pregnant, she was determined to have an abortion, particularly because she was no longer with the father of her baby.

In her search for abortion providers on the internet, her keywords triggered Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad, which instantly connected her with our Pregnancy Help Center partner in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She made an appointment to be seen right away.

The first two ultrasounds were not conclusive, so Monica returned for a third appointment.

By this time, she was hopeful that her pregnancy was not viable and that, perhaps, she had already miscarried.

To her disappointment and shock, the third ultrasound not only revealed that she had a developing baby, but that she was also 11 weeks into her pregnancy.

Still adamant about getting an abortion, Monica asked what type of abortion procedure she could receive at this stage in her pregnancy.

She agreed to watch the video clip of Dr. Levatino, which explained abortion procedures.

Dr. Levatino’s careful explanations enabled Monica to understand the gravity of what an abortion actually does.

As she watched the video, Monica’s body language revealed the maternal instincts already at work in spite of her stated abortion intent: She clutched the ultrasound images of her baby close to her and placed her hands over her belly.

The counseling Monica received from the pregnancy center staff following the video helped her understand that there were ample supportive resources available to her should she choose to continue with her pregnancy.

Ultimately, the video, combined with the compassionate counseling she received and seeing her baby on the ultrasound, helped Monica change her mind and make the choice for life!

Your support of Heroic Media’s OAASYS paves the way for truth-tellers like Dr. Levatino and the counselors at our partner centers to empower many mothers like Monica to choose life.
