When confronted with overwhelming circumstances, it is frequently the human instinct to focus on the specifics of the problem and lose sight of the bigger and more important context.

God asks us to lift our eyes to Him, and let Him recast our vision to see the situation from His perspective.

If we release to Him the preoccupation with the trees, He eliminates the obstacles in our way and shows us the grandeur of the woods which we have been missing!

Tanya’s heart had been broken into pieces.

She thought her relationship with her boyfriend had been going well and that they had a future together.

She was even hoping he might propose marriage!

Then she made the bombshell discovery that sent her dreams into a tailspin: he had fathered a child with another woman, and had kept it a secret from her.

On the heels of this discovery came another stunning revelation: Tanya herself was pregnant – and more than 18 weeks along when she found out.

Her immediate instinct screamed that there was “no way” she could bring this baby to term.

Yet, she was dealing with denial, and was paralyzed with inaction for several weeks before she finally searched the internet for abortion options.

Mercifully, her search connected her with Heroic Media’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Los Angeles, California, through OAASYS’s Emergency Response ad.

Tanya made an appointment to be seen right away.

At the time of her appointment, it was determined that she was almost 26 weeks pregnant!

Tanya’s client advocate explained the risks of a late-term abortion, and, more than that, provided a compassionate, listening ear, gently helping Tanya process through her situation.

Tanya expressed the deep hurt she felt towards her boyfriend, and confessed that she wanted an abortion because she did not want to bring her baby “into the mix.”

She felt that having her baby would mean her boyfriend would remain in her life – and she wanted nothing more to do with him.

Tanya’s client advocate helped her to see how her focus on the specifics of her current situation meant she was missing the bigger context.

That is, her baby’s life was precious – regardless of what her boyfriend did – and having an abortion would forever destroy the one who was her own flesh and blood.

When Tanya was able to release her focus on the issues with her boyfriend, and instead, focus on the life of her baby, she realized abortion could no longer be an option for her.

She made the choice for life!

Your support of Heroic Media’s OAASYS is helping to change the perspective many pregnant mothers like Tanya have towards their circumstances and show them the bigger, more beautiful picture of the sanctity of the lives of their babies.
