We often hear it said, “Jesus is enough.”

He is enough to save us, to provide for us, to strengthen us, to bless us… the list goes on.

Perhaps more than anything, He is enough when we doubt that “we” are enough.

When broken situations in our lives lead us to believe that we would “never amount to any good,” Jesus tenderly affirms: You are enough, because I am more than enough. And My grace is enough to help you with your every need.

All her life, Erin had struggled with “not feeling good enough.”

For this teenager, much of her self-doubt stemmed from the fact that her mother had committed suicide when she was very young, and she had grown up without a strong maternal figure.

Further, every “bad” decision she had made only “compounded the narrative” that she was “messed up” and “could do no better.”

Consequently, when she found out that she was pregnant, she believed abortion to be “the natural solution” because she did not think she would “be good enough to be a mother.”

When Erin searched the internet for abortion options on her smart phone, Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad was already strategically poised to instantly respond to her search results!

Instead of finding an abortion provider, OAASYS’s ad connected her to our Pregnancy Help Center partner in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Little could she have known that her loving Savior was using this connection to begin to demonstrate to her that He was her all-sufficiency!

The compassion and empathy which Erin’s client advocate lovingly poured out on her made a great impact on this young teen.

Erin opened up and shared that her mother had had an abortion when she was in high school, at about the same age as Erin, and she’d bitterly regretted her decision.

In fact, Erin’s father believed her mother’s being haunted by the abortion was a contributing factor to her eventually taking her own life.

Erin’s client advocate saw the brokenness in her life and used the opportunity to share the Gospel with her, helping her realize that any inadequacy she felt was more than covered by Jesus’ sufficiency for her.

In Him, Erin came to understand that she could overcome the brokenness of her past and be the mother to her own child that she had lost at such a young age.

Erin also consented to watching a video which explained what the abortion procedure entailed.

She was greatly shocked and exclaimed, “I could never do that!”

Erin realized that she did not have to walk the destructive path of abortion that her mother had walked.

The newfound confidence Erin found in Jesus’ love for her empowered her to choose life for her baby!
