One of the greatest assurances Jesus gave us about our eternal destiny with Him is found in John 14:2, where He describes how He is preparing a place for us in His “Father’s house,” and that He will come back for us to take us home with Him.
We know that whatever trials we may endure here on earth cannot rob us of the strong promise we have in Christ – the unperishable hope of an eternal dwelling where everything will be made right.
Brittany called Heroic Media’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Phoenix, Arizona, in tears.
She had recently discovered that she was pregnant and had shared the news with her mother.
Her mother’s response tormented her:
“I will not allow you to live in my house if you are pregnant. What a disgrace!”
Fearful that she would be thrown out of the house and rendered homeless, Brittany began searching the internet for abortion options.
Providentially, instead of finding an abortion provider, her search triggered Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad which enabled the life-saving connection to our PHC partner!
As soon as Brittany arrived for her appointment at the pregnancy center, she was met with great love and compassion.
The acceptance she received from her client advocate soothed the wound of her mother’s rejection.
Her client advocate shared with her the love of Christ and helped her see that His provisions for her and her preborn child were more than sufficient.
Even if her mother denied her housing, Brittany came to understand that He would provide for her and, ultimately, that He had prepared eternal housing for her if she would only believe!
The sight of her baby on the ultrasound surprised Brittany, as he was much more developed than she had expected.
And hearing his heartbeat was particularly impactful: Brittany could not deny the very palpable reality of her baby’s life!
Greatly encouraged and empowered after the intervention she’d received at the pregnancy center, Brittany courageously made the decision to continue with her pregnancy in spite of the situation with her mother.
Ever Faithful, Jesus manifested His provision for her through the family of the father of her baby who expressed support for her and her pregnancy!
The promises of Jesus and His provision hold great power for every woman experiencing an unexpected pregnancy to be empowered to trust in Him and choose life!
