While most high schoolers were busy planning summer camps, sleepovers, and beach trips, Mia was wrestling with a different kind of plan: a plan to get an abortion.

Mia and her boyfriend had been dating for just over a year when Mia found out she was unexpectedly pregnant.

Having both been raised in strong Christian homes, they were more terrified by the fear of telling their parents than the negative mental, physical, and emotional effects abortion would have on them.

Mia, especially, believed that she could “block out the experience after the fact” and “pretend the pregnancy and abortion ‘never even happened…’”

However, the father of the baby was having a harder time with the “abortion plan.”

He proposed dropping out of school to get a job so he could support Mia and the baby.

He remained supportive either way, while subtly encouraging Mia to continue the pregnancy and co-parent with him.

When the couple began their internet search looking for abortion appointments, Mia’s boyfriend saw Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad.

His eye caught the word “options”… and felt this ad could be “a sign from God.”

He showed Mia the ad, and they immediately called the number, connecting them to OAASYS’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to see if they could schedule an appointment.

They went in the following day.

Mia made it immediately clear that she was interested in abortion, but she agreed to meet with the client advocate to talk through her decision.

Their discussion quickly “turned spiritual” when Mia inquired about how an abortion would affect her relationship with God.

She learned that, although God forgives all sins, including abortion, the emotional fallout of taking the life of her baby would be severe.

This was an aspect she had yet to consider.

Suddenly, it became clear that the “bury-your-head-in-the-sand approach” wouldn’t exactly “work” here…

Mia and her boyfriend decided to take some time to reconsider their options.

They left with a plan to return for an ultrasound appointment a few weeks later.

When they returned, they seemed unusually excited to see their baby on the ultrasound.

And, as predicted by the staff who witnessed their new demeanor at their second appointment, the couple announced, upon seeing their baby on the ultrasound screen, that they would choose life and parent rather than get an abortion – and then asked for prayer!

Praise God!

Thank YOU for your faithful support of Heroic Media’s OAASYS.

The client advocates in Tulsa proved to be the support system Mia and her boyfriend needed to make the courageous decision of LIFE for their sweet baby.

Mia’s story – and the stories of every mother whose life you impact just like hers – would not be possible without your prayers and heroic sponsorship of these ads!

God Bless You!
