We have become so accustomed to being able to, with the simple click of the “Delete” key on our computers, “undo” anything we do not like.
This has conditioned a “delete mindset” for many.
Whenever circumstances do not go the way we want, finding the most expedient way out of the situation is our “default,” tantamount to hitting the “Delete” key.
The courage to do the right thing, instead of what is expedient, comes from trusting that God alone has control over the “Delete” key.
If we allow Him to act, instead of attempting to direct our own paths, He will provide a life-giving solution out of our circumstances.
With her baby just eight months old, Lina felt like she was still transitioning into new motherhood.
Caring for her baby was taking more out of her than she had expected, and her hands were full.
When she found out that she was pregnant again, her reaction was one of fear and panic.
The thought of having another baby so close on the heels of her first was more than she could handle.
Consequently, even though her husband and extended family wanted her to continue with her pregnancy, Lina’s mind screamed otherwise.
Abortion seemed like an “easy solution.”
After all, Lina thought, she was just a few weeks into her pregnancy…
The baby could not be too developed, could it…?
She had heard about the abortion pill…
It seemed as easy as taking Tylenol for a headache…
All she had to do was pop a couple of pills and her “problem” would be taken care of, right?
Lina searched the internet to find out how she could obtain the abortion pill.
Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad popped up in her search results.
When she called the phone number displayed, Lina was instantly connected with our Pregnancy Help Center partner in Los Angeles, California, and made an appointment right away.
Lina’s client advocate at the pregnancy center explained the risks of the abortion pill to her.
The facts she was given dispelled her misconception that there were no risks involved.
When Lina realized the truth, the abortion option no longer seemed as attractive and expedient.
Her client advocate encouraged her to consider continuing with her pregnancy, and helped her realize that this new life was not an accident, but, rather, a part of God’s sovereign plans for her and her husband.
He would provide her with the strength she needed to be a loving mother to her children.
By the time Lina left the pregnancy center, she had made the decision to have her baby!
Were it not for your support of Heroic Media, which enabled Lina to be connected to our partner center, this story would have had a different outcome.
THANK YOU for helping many mothers like Lina make decisions for life every day!
