In the quiet suburbs of a small town, Amanda, in her early 40s, found herself facing a life-altering decision as she held a positive pregnancy test in her trembling hands.

Feeling shocked and uncertain, her thoughts swirled as she immediately searched online for an abortion facility, seeking “a solution” to a situation she hadn’t expected.

Thanks to your support of Heroic Media’s OAASYS (On-demand Alternative to Abortion SYStem) Emergency Response ad campaigns, a link for OAASYS’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Tulsa, Oklahoma popped up instead.

She clicked on the link, and quickly made an appointment to be seen.

Nervous but determined, Amanda arrived for her first appointment at the pregnancy center.

She met Cyndi, a compassionate and understanding client advocate, who warmly welcomed her.

In the privacy of a small room, Amanda shared her heart, expressing her fears and uncertainties.

Cyndi listened attentively as Amanda shared her story.

Amanda was a certified Nursing Assistant, actively looking for work to support her two kids – who were “already a handful” for her.

The weight of her responsibilities loomed heavily on her shoulders, adding to the complexity of her situation.

On top of that, she had experienced two miscarriages in the past, making her current pregnancy feel even more delicate.

Her relationship with the father of the baby was also unstable.

There was “no clear path forward in sight,” as every option seemed fraught with challenges.

During their conversation, the topic of spirituality came up.

Amanda, an admitted believer in the sanctity of life, stated that she believed life begins at conception.

Hearing herself say those words out loud to Cyndi triggered something deep within her.

It was a moment of revelation.

She realized that those beliefs were “not just words”; they were actually guiding principles that shaped her values and actions.

In the end, after much soul-searching and contemplation, Amanda made her decision.

She rejected the abortion option, and made the choice for life for her baby!

She knew it “wouldn’t be easy”, but she found newfound strength in her conviction and the knowledge that she wasn’t alone on this journey.

Months later, Amanda gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

As she held her newborn son in her arms, tears of joy streamed down her cheeks.

Her heart swelled with gratitude for the support she’d received from Cyndi and the pregnancy help center and the realization that sometimes, unexpected “detours” can lead to the most meaningful destinations!

Praise be to God!

And thank you for your support of OAASYS and the role you played in Amanda and her children’s life stories!
