Megan and her husband were in the middle of a nasty divorce.
While the estranged couple were loving parents to their two elementary-age boys, over the years they’d “lost their will” to continue to choose love for one another.
As a result, their relationship suffered greatly.
When Megan became unexpectedly pregnant with another man’s baby, that marked “the beginning of the end” of the marriage.
After the couple had separated, Megan began to feel the financial stress of single motherhood.
She struggled to support herself, let alone her boys, on her mid-level corporate job.
She was also struggling emotionally.
She’d broken things off with the father of this third baby, and her two sons were having a hard time coping with their parents’ divorce.
As a result, Megan began to contemplate getting an abortion.
She believed “everyone would be better off” without adding the stress of a new baby to their broken family.
Megan began searching online for an abortion facility.

She made an appointment to be seen.
At her first appointment, Megan told her client advocate how overwhelmed she felt about her situation.
She wanted to parent… but… given the current circumstances… she believed abortion “had to be the better option” for her family…
Right…?
Seeing her inner conflict, her advocate offered to schedule an appointment to connect her to free professional counseling services through the local church – and she happily accepted!
After the first counseling session, Megan returned to the pregnancy center for a sonogram appointment.
By this time, through prayer and the expert help of the professional counselor, she’d had time to process “the reality of the brutality of abortion,” and she shared that she was excited to choose life for her preborn baby!
Praise God!
She made plans to continue seeing the counselor, to connect with the local church– not only for herself but also for her sons – and to return to the pregnancy center for additional resources.
