Natasha considered her life to be “boring and uneventful.”
At 31, her days consisted of working a decent nine-to-five job, and coming home to her cat, and sometimes, her boyfriend.
Natasha’s boyfriend was unpredictable.
Sometimes he would shower her with gifts and flowers and homemade four-course meals, but other times he would yell and mistreat her.
Growing up in a similarly unpredictable home, Natasha wasn’t quite able to identify her boyfriend’s behavior as troubling.
One night, Natasha arrived home after a day of feeling particularly unwell.
She asked her boyfriend if he would stop at the local pharmacy on his way over for dinner and pick up a pregnancy test.
When the test came back positive, they were both in shock.
Her boyfriend’s shock quickly turned to anger.
He began yelling at her, telling her she’d “better get an abortion before the end of the week!”
And handed her cash to do so.
Natasha decided to skip dinner and “get out of the house” to process everything.
She drove down the street to the closest gas station.
While filling up her car, she pulled out her phone and began searching online for an abortion facility.
Thanks to your support of Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ads, she was connected with OAASYS’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma instead.
She made an appointment.
At her appointment the following day, she shared her intent to get an early abortion.
She had no hesitations about getting an abortion early in pregnancy – but she also had no understanding of what an abortion entailed.
With consent, she listened as her client advocate explained early fetal development and the brutality of the abortion procedure.
Natasha was shocked when she saw pictures of weeks-old babies with beating hearts and fingers and toes.
Suddenly, her eyes began to open to the reality of abortion.
It wasn’t long before their conversation turned spiritual.
Now that she’d grasped the humanity of a baby from conception, Natasha inquired:
“God can’t be for abortion, right…?”
She’d grown up in church, but had a limited understanding of God’s character.
Her client advocate began explaining the Gospel and Natasha looked as if this was the first time she’d ever heard the true story of Christ’s death and resurrection.
Together, they prayed for forgiveness and acceptance of Christ’s redeeming grace.
Natasha exclaimed, “I feel like I’m seeing the world in an entirely new light now!”
Empowered with the TRUTH, Natasha chose life for her precious baby!
The pregnancy center, committed to supporting and walking with her, helped her get prenatal care set up and counseling services for her and the father of the baby.
Thank You for helping Natasha discover new life for her baby and a new life in Christ for herself!
