Chanelle called one of our Pregnancy Help Center partners in Houston, Texas after searching on the internet for information about abortion.

She clicked on a Heroic Media ad that led her to have a 10-minute conversation with a peer counselor.

During the call, Chanelle first asked about abortion costs. She stated that a doctor confirmed she was 17-weeks pregnant the last time she checked.

The peer counselor asked if Chanelle had an abortion previously, and Chanelle stated that she did have an abortion around 4 or 5 weeks pregnant.

Chanelle learned that abortion procedures are much different in the first trimester versus the second trimester.

She scheduled an appointment to come in a few days later.

However, after getting off the phone, Chanelle spoke with her husband, then called our partner back.

Chanelle shared that although she and her husband are scared, they decided to continue their pregnancy!

Chanelle told the peer counselor how grateful she was for the encouragement and information she learned over the phone.

The counselor reminded her that she is not alone, and offered for her to still come in to talk.
