Life for 25-year-old Grace felt like anything other than grace-filled.
The past few weeks had been a roller coaster.
After being estranged from her military husband, she came to Oklahoma to move in with her mother.
The two young children she was raising on her own seemed to be more than she could handle.
But the roller coaster was not finished.
One morning Grace confirmed what she feared: she was pregnant.
She had never felt more alone.
Grace immediately searched on Google for information for an abortion appointment for that day.
She clicked on a Heroic Media ad and was connected with our Pregnancy Help Center partner in Oklahoma City.
When she found that they were not going to give her an abortion, she hung up.
She made an appointment for an abortion at a local abortion facility and headed to the address she’d written down.
Grace walked into the building and informed the receptionist that she was there for her abortion shot.
The receptionist, with all gentleness and love, told her that they did not provide abortion shots, but she could have a free ultrasound.
It turned out, in the morning’s frenzy of trying to get an abortion appointment, Grace had written down the Pregnancy Help Center’s address and not Planned Parenthood’s!
She agreed to receive the ultrasound and found out she was having twins!
After seeing her babies, she knew she was going to choose life for her children.
Grace told the counselor that she was a Christian and that she had a great desire to mend her marriage.
After praying with her, the center staff gave Grace two layette gift boxes filled with material blessings for her tiny twins, and set her up with a local doctor to receive prenatal care.
A morning of fear had turned into a morning of rejoicing!
Truly, God delights to give grace upon grace.
