17-year-old Iliana sat quietly on the couch, listening to her dad.

A part of her felt relieved that she was not going to have to pay for this abortion.

Even so, she could not help but think that there had to be another option.

Iliana connected with our Pregnancy Help Center partner in Jacksonville, Florida and made an appointment.

When Iliana came to the center, she sat down with her pregnancy counselor and they began to discuss why she was wanting to choose abortion.

Iliana shared that she felt that she had “her whole life ahead of her” and becoming a mom at such a young age would ruin her future.

Besides this, the father of the baby wanted nothing to do with her, and her own father had said he would pay for the abortion.

The counselor asked Iliana if she wanted to see the baby on an ultrasound.

Iliana agreed.

What she saw next changed everything.

Iliana saw her beautiful 16-week-old baby!

She could not believe how well formed this tiny little person was.

Iliana asked the counselor if there was any other option to consider besides parenting.

After discussing her choices, Iliana bravely decided to make an adoption plan for her sweet little one!
