The love of a mother has the power to transform the world.

At 24 years old, Jenna had already struggled, in her short life, with drug addiction and a series of painful relationships.

But the shining light in her life was her relationship with her mother.

Even so, when she found out she was pregnant, she did not turn to her mother, but instead went to Google and searched for abortion information.

She clicked on a Heroic Media ad and was connected with our Pregnancy Help Center partner in Chicago, where she made an appointment.

Jenna was deeply distressed and incredibly emotional as she began her appointment.

When she sat down with her client advocate, she began to weep.

She wept when the advocate educated her on abortion realities, risks, and side effects, and she wept even more when she saw her tiny 7-week-old baby on the ultrasound screen.

Jenna shared with the counselor that she was afraid of her inability to raise this child because of her past drug use and the financial and relationships issues it had created in her life.

When she relayed that she was close with her mother, the client advocate encouraged her to reach out to her mother who loved her.

Through the client advocate’s encouragement and help, Jenna overcame her fear and reached out to her mother.

There she found the support that she needed to be able to choose life, not only for her baby, but a new life for herself!

Let us continue to pray that all women who find themselves in unexpected pregnancies receive the support of their families, and, particularly, of their mothers.
