Today’s Save Story: Mariah

Mariah did not want to keep her abortion appointment, but feared how she would care for a baby, so she went online and found out more information about getting an abortion.

Her boyfriend told her abortion was the only option, but she told him she was one step ahead of him and had already made an appointment.

The abortion clinic could not take her in right away so she called another abortion clinic in New Orleans.

As the day of the appointment approached, Mariah felt distressed about the decision and found another clinic through a Heroic Media ad online.

This time she was connected to a Pregnancy Help Center that partners with Heroic Media.

She called into the center and the counselors urged her to come in immediately to confirm her pregnancy.

Thankfully, the staff guided her with compassion and prayer, and shared with Mariah that her child was a gift to be treasured, not terminated.

Mariah felt overwhelmed and cried because she realized she could not ever feel right about going through with an abortion.

Even if her boyfriend was angry that she did not choose to have an abortion, Mariah knew she had to choose the baby over him.

We are so grateful to God that Mariah chose life for her child!
