Miranda’s situation seemed impossible to her.

A single mother with a 9-year-old daughter whom she supported entirely on her own, Miranda could not imagine how she could possibly support another child.

After finding out she was pregnant, she scheduled an abortion at a local hospital and, at 7 weeks gestation, took the abortion pill.

At her post-abortion check-up she was shocked to find out that her pregnancy was viable!

She was upset and scared and could not afford another abortion procedure.

Performing a Google search for help and information, Miranda was connected with our Pregnancy Help Center in Chicago through a Heroic Media ad.

Miranda came into the center feeling terrified and alone.

The client advocate gently led her through the appointment, compassionately listening to all of her concerns.

Miranda shared that she had no family support, an unstable living situation, and she did not have any relationship with the father of her child.

The client advocate provided her with a number of resources to help her, including housing options, prenatal care, and the center’s support program.

Miranda accepted the resources and told the client advocate that she believed that the unsuccessful abortion attempt was a sign from God.

Through the encouragement and support of her client advocate and the center, Miranda chose life for her child!

The plans of the Lord cannot be stopped!
