Trinity shook the home pregnancy test in her hand, willing it to read something else, anything else.
The positive symbol remained firmly visible.
She slumped onto the ground and began to cry.
She had already been in this place, and she had never wanted to come back.
Only a few years ago she had faced an unexpected pregnancy, and had ended it with an abortion.
The same fear she had felt in the pit of her stomach was back.
Abortion had to be the answer.
She called her boyfriend and told him.
She was shocked to hear excitement in his voice.
“We can do this Trinity. I want this baby!”
Trying to ignore his enthusiasm, she hung up and performed a Google search for abortion.
She clicked on a Heroic Media ad and connected with a Pregnancy Help Center in Texas.
When she came into the appointment at the Center, she shared with the counselor that she felt torn.
Her boyfriend’s enthusiasm and desire to parent seemed at odds with the fear she was feeling.
The counselor walked her through her fears and comforted her when she shared her previous abortion experience.
She told her that she was strong, capable, and already a mother.
The counselor told her that she did not have to make a decision based on fear, but she could do something new.
Trinity listened, asked questions, and at the end of her appointment, her heart was changed.
She chose life for her child!
She is now busy working overtime to save up money for her baby.
God is good!
