It should not be a surprise to us that we will have trials and tribulations in this
world.
However, the strong assurance God promises in His Word is that Jesus’ blood has secured our ultimate victory, for it is by “the blood of the Lamb” that we triumph (Revelation 12:11).
Our victory is also secured by “the word of our testimony.”
When we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and actively proclaim the story of His redemption in our lives, we defeat the enemy’s devices and ensure that death has, indeed, lost its sting!
At just 19 years of age, Taylor was a high achiever with big plans for her life.
Currently in college, her goal was to become a doctor, and she was working hard to bring her plans to fruition.
When she discovered she was pregnant, her instant reaction was that nothing should “derail her goals.”
An unexpected pregnancy, in her economy, was certainly “a derailment!”
Even as she continued staring in disbelief at the double lines on her positive home pregnancy test, Taylor was already searching for abortion options on her smartphone.

Her first ultrasound appointment proved inconclusive as she was still very early in her pregnancy.
She agreed to return for a second ultrasound scan and this time, it showed a viable pregnancy.
However, she was still abortion-minded.
This began to change when her client advocate shared with her the powerful testimony of her own unexpected pregnancies.
She revealed that she had had multiple abortions in her past and had experienced the wreckage of pain and destruction from these abortions in her life.
Taylor listened intently, clearly moved by the vulnerability of her advocate and the raw emotions she shared.
Her advocate’s testimony did not end there.
She told Taylor about the transforming grace of God and how the blood of Jesus, the Lamb, had brought redemption and healing from those devastating abortions.
Further, she shared with Taylor the hope that she could have in Jesus.
An unexpected pregnancy certainly did not “have to ‘derail her goals’!”
She could trust that Jesus would give her the provisions she needed to fulfill the plans He had for her, which included choosing life for her baby!
After hearing the powerful word of the advocate’s testimony, Taylor’s determination to have an abortion softened.
She agreed to return in two weeks for another ultrasound scan.
This third scan showed a healthy and rapidly developing 11-week-old baby.
Taylor realized she no longer had the heart to go through with an abortion and made the choice for life!
