The Cross of Jesus not only reconciles sinners to God, it provides the means by which we can be reconciled to each other: parents to children, and more significantly, mothers to babies they had initially wanted to abort.

Satan’s ploy is always to divide God’s children, but Jesus’ reconciliatory sacrifice powerfully paves the way for life to flow and life-giving choices to be made in and through restored relationships!

The hotline call to Heroic Media’s Pregnancy Help Center partner in Shreveport, Louisiana, was made by Quinn’s mother.

Only 14 years old, Quinn had revealed to her mother that she was pregnant.
Quinn was extremely upset and insisted that her mother find her a place to get an abortion.

Desperate, they searched the internet and found Heroic Media’s OAASYS Emergency Response ad which instantly connected them to our PHC partner.

When they learned that our PHC partner was not an abortion facility, they declined to make an appointment.

Yet, seeds were sown on that hotline call that impressed upon them that compassionate help was available if they chose to accept it.

By God’s intervention, they called back!

The abortion business was not able to book an appointment for them for many weeks out, so they decided to first seek help at our PHC partner!

Full of compassion, the client advocate with whom Quinn and her mother met allowed both of them to process their emotions about the pregnancy without fear of judgment.

There had been enormous tension between them since Quinn had shared the news of her pregnancy.

The client advocate helped them reconcile, speaking truth and grace to mother and daughter, and ultimately communicating Jesus’ love.

For the first time since finding out she was pregnant, Quinn connected with the baby whose life she had been so determined to deny, and her heart began to be stirred by maternal instincts towards her baby.

Yet, when they left the center that day, she still reported feeling very conflicted about what to do.

Days after, the client advocate received a phone call from Quinn.

She joyfully shared that on their way home from the pregnancy center that day, she and her mother had a heart-to-heart talk, and they decided to continue with her pregnancy!

The reconciliation they found with each other united their hearts, and empowered Quinn to be reconciled with her baby as well, demolishing the abortion option once and for all!

A few months after that initial visit, Quinn texted an update to share that she was five months along in her pregnancy and was very grateful to our PHC partner that they’d helped her choose life and also heal the bond between her and her mother.
